Carolina Getaway Reviews

The house was clean (no sand, no smell, fantastic) and met all of our expections. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat! The kitchen was equipped for us to cook and eat with ease. The kids loved the TVs mounted in the bedrooms that we could us to log in to our streaming services.

Beautiful property, clean and super family friendly! We had a blast and will be back for sure!

Great location, nice place with room for the family and short walk to the beach.

great place!

A great location to get to the beach, and very spacious. There were a few items left behind in the place from previous Tennants that should not have been there, but overall, it was clean, spacious, and the kitchen was stocked with dishes and the bathrooms had plenty of towels.

Overall, really nice place to stay. There were a few hiccups, however they wouldn't deter me from staying there again. Last but not least, the ice maker still isn't working. I believe it's been broke for a while.

Very responsive host. Great location and home layout to support our large family. Highly recommended a stay here.

Excellent experience

This is an older home with a beach cottage aesthetic — I expected this with the listing photos & price! With that being said, furniture could be updated/fixed — the large chair in the living room was broken on our arrival. The bottom unit had a strong, unpleasant smell and we found a fast food tray under a bed from a prior guest so that was disappointing. My biggest complaint was that it was unclear that the bottom floor is completely separated from the second and third levels with a separate entrance. We were a large group wanting to spend time together and this made it a bit more difficult.

We enjoyed having multiple kitchens/fridges for food with this many people. We were so close to the beach access which was great for quickly heading down. The host was very responsive & quickly resolved any issues. The added amenities like beach chairs, roof access, and well stocked kitchens elevated our stay!

Overall, this property worked great for our large group for a beach weekend!

House was exactly as described. Beach was a short walk and the outdoor shower was super convenient for not carrying sand in. Great time with the family!

Great views from the deck on the 2nd floor! Easy walk to the beach. Comfortable furniture along with some beach toys!!

This condo was beautiful and clean. The view of the beach was perfect. I loved how close of a walk it was to get out to the beach. It made it so much easier being in such close proximity. I also loved the design of the main bathroom! Modern, sleek, clean and very comfortable!

The space was a great location and we enjoyed ourselves!

Loved this place! It was in rather quiet part of the area which we loved especially during the 4th of July celebrations. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach which was great with kids. We walked to the pier every morning to grab food and coffee, a really nice 10 minute stroll. The location is perfect and there was plenty of room for the 10 of us, the pool was small but perfect for two kids and a way to escape the heat most days.

We had a great stay overall—the home was very clean and exactly as described. A few things to note: there was no Pack ’n Play or high chair, and the kitchen was minimally stocked (limited dishes and no food storage containers), which made cooking and storing leftovers a bit challenging. There were also few options for hanging wet towels or swimsuits, and the hot tub was not working during our stay.
You can hear footsteps from the unit above, likely due to normal sound transfer, though it wasn’t a major issue for us but noticeable at night and early morning.
Overall, the home was clean, comfortable, and true to the listing. With a few added kitchen basics and family-friendly amenities, it would be even better for longer stays.

Great space for large families. Great location on Carolina Beach. Walking distance to many restaurants, attractions, and the park. Loved the private beach access from the main floor. Kitchen included all housewares needed to prepare meals. Just disappointed the elevator was out of order during our stay.

Clean and well taken care of condo! We enjoyed our stay!

This was a great place. The only thing less than ideal was no iron (there was an ironing board) and the patio was very sandy on arrival. I would rent it again despite these minor things.

This was our first experience with VRBO. It was absolutely perfect! The house is beautiful and pristine. A few steps to the beach, and a beautiful view from the top floor. I was so happy with our experience!

The condo met all our expectations! It was comfy and had all that my family of five needed. We loved the spacious, open floor plan, balcony, and close proximity to the beach. The amenities were all as expected. The beach was perfect, and we loved the pool area. The pool was closed for maintenance 2 of the days we stayed, but we were flexible. We also wished there was a small dresser in the master to keep our clothes for the week. All that said, we would definitely stay in the condo again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
