Carolina Getaway Reviews

My family and I enjoyed Liz's place. It was very peaceful and quite. This is just what we needed. Everything you needed was in the kitchen such as pots, pans, utensils. I would recommend getting food and groceries before you arrive. There is not many store near. I enjoyed my birthday and we will be back in June.

This location hosted several of us for a surprise birthday visit with some local friends and family. It was a perfect home base for our stay and had so much to do onsite. Plenty of areas to hangout inside and out, pickup games of pool are easy. Being beach front makes it extra special to have early morning coffee, mid afternoon walks, and late night hot tubbing. You are farther from downtown Wilmington but have nearby groceries and a few quick restaurants so you do not ever need to leave.

Even though the weather was not cooperative, we had a great stay in beautiful Kure Beach! The house was lovely, spacious, and well-equipped with a great porch, kitchen, and plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms!

This is our second year staying in this beautiful home during the off-season, and I highly recommend it. The house is gorgeous and well laid out to accommodate a good size group. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Liz is responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back again next year!

Beautiful home and location. We loved using the fireplace outside for s’mores. The living room is a large area for big family.

We arrived after an 8-hour drive and the key pad was not working. The lock box key was also missing. We had no access. It was nearing 5p and the close of the business day.
When we called the number for the property management company, every extension ended in a fast busy signal. The fact that it was so difficult to get a live person on the phone was extremely frustrating. We spent an hour calling around to other real estate agents in the area to see if anyone knew of Carolina Beach Rentals or had an alternate number for them. Thankfully, a local realtor found a Google Voice number and someone from the property management company finally returned our call. They did send a locksmith out to let us in later that evening but it was a frustrating process.
The handicap bar in the master bath was broken. Three vinyl panels which covered deck ceiling had fallen onto the deck when we arrived.
Other than that, the property was clean and well-maintained.

PROS: The property manager did send us $50 for the inconvenience and they were very easy to deal with once we were able to get in touch with them.

The property was clean. The oceanfront view and beach access were awesome. The beds were comfortable. The property is conveniently located near restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. We would definitely rent this property again if in the area.

Great property. So much room for our family. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. Fantastic location by the pier. Short drive to aquarium and fort Fischer. Our favorite hang out at the veggie wagon! So convenient to Wilmington! Defiantly recommend!

A beautiful vacation with our family at Sea 2 Sky. Always enjoyable & the beach was so wonderful . Great times and the house is just wonderful for all of my family. Highly recommend!

This property is amazing! The peaceful views of the water and beautiful landscaping make for an awesome combination. The house was very accommodating and very well laid out. Overall we loved this spot!

Good location! Quite a few steps to climb though.

This lake home was amazing from the location, to its beautiful scenery. The pictures doesn’t capture all of it beauty!

This house is filled with so many surprises and overly stocked with everything you will need plus more. I am planning another trip here when it’s warmer!

Liz's place was fantastic, just like the pictures showed. It was the perfect place for us to stay while attending graduation in Wilmington!

We did a long weekend for a little getaway. The house was great and we enjoyed the beautiful views. We didn't use the pool or the downstairs due to the time of year and size of our party but it was a great space. I'd definitely recommend this property.

We found this home to be very well equipped and furnished, and particularly enjoyed the kitchen . It was so well stocked with any serving dish or utensil we needed . Lovely views and porches !

We had a wonderful stay at Perma Grin! it was so peaceful and the views are gorgeous. We even saw several dolphins while enjoying the large seating areas looking out at the ocean. The entire house was clean, welcoming, and exactly as seen in the photos. Liz was also extremely helpful and responsive whenever I reached out to her. We hope to come back some day soon.

Lovely property in a fun beach town. The property manager was responsive to the couple of issues that came up. We plan to return

Great access to beach, and view of the beach. House was nice and clean. Only problem was the WiFi didn't have internet access which affected our phones and TVs.

Amazing spot on the beach, we even extended two more days because we didn't want to give up the view. House was bigger than it looked in the photos and Liz was very responsive when I needed to communicate with her.

The property was as advertised and very well kept. When we needed some help with the hot tub, the property manager responded almost instantly and we had the problem resolved within the hour.

House is excellent, easy private access to beach. Pool and Hot Tub great.
