The property is in an ideal location. Access to the beach was amazing and the pool was nice for when the surf was too high for the children. Not a lot of other beach houses seem to have pools like this. The place was easy and it was nice to have a garage to put vehicles and beach stuff in. The number of beds in this location is ideal when bringing family and friends. If you bring a dog there is a convenient pet walk area right down the street. The only issues we had, which were minor, is that there were no hot pads for removing items from the oven or the stove top and there was only one dish towel. One of the bedrooms upstairs with the king bed has low airflow and therefore was always warm at night. Check in and check out was easy but required an additional fee to check in early.The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and enough supplies to make big dinners. There’s a fridge in the kitchen as well as a refrigerator in the garage which was handy to put all the fish that we had caught on a fishing trip.I would definitely stay here again.

Our family had one of the very best beach vacations we've ever enjoyed at this house. 8 adults were very comfortable with plenty of room both to spread out and to get some privacy. We all love to cook and found a very nicely equipped kitchen. The pool and hot tub were very popular, and the beach was just steps away. There's lots to do in the area -- the Aquarium, the fort, the Carolina Beach boardwalk.

The property manager was incredibly responsive to questions and really helpful.

Our family of 8 stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The beach is beautiful and right near the pier that does live music on Thursday’s. They had literally every amenity you could think of in the kitchen (besides a pizza cutter lol) which was great cause we cooked every meal. Very close to bars/shops in Wrightsville. Elevator was awesome for bringing luggage up and down. 3rd floor story bed was a little uncomfortable but we’re used to a temper pedic bed at home. The deck looking over the sound was awesome, wish it was a little bigger but still great. There is no shortage of seating throughout the place either (seriously there are chairs everywhere haha!) . Over all Nice & quiet and very relaxing stay!

The house was very nice and accommodated our family. The wifi was very spotty at times and the locks on doors were in need of attention, which happened right away so shout out to Liz and maintenance crew for that. The pool looked a little sandy on arrival but wasn’t too bad. All in all a very nice place to vacation.

Host took good care of our parking situation. Family enjoyed the pool, beach and fit everyone comfortably.

The house was recently updated and was in great condition and very clean. The bottom floor had no inside access to main floor. It was ok but a little inconvenient! A bedroom downstairs had no access to a bathroom down there without going thru the other bedroom…. Super inconvenient!!! The sun room on the street side of the house is a useless space. Loved the pool and boardwalk to the beach! It needs a hose/shower in boardwalk to rinse feet so sand doesn’t get in the pool. The pool maintenance was awesome! Vacuumed and maintained a couple of times during our stay!! There was a great supply of cooking items in the kitchen. But there was a lot of leftover food/ condiments in the cabinets. This was kinda gross to have in a rental. Leftover laundry detergent is one thing but opened peanut butter is another! Yuck! When arrived at 4:00 for check in the cleaning staff had just arrived and we were not allowed in the property until 5:30. This was inconvenient when we were told we could check in at 4:00. Overall a great vacation but a few disappointing details for such an expensive rental property!

The house was spotlessly clean! We had no trouble finding kitchen items. The pool was perfect as we tired of the sand each afternoon. It may have been noted and we missed it but the downstairs bedroom had only a window unit that is very loud.

This fit 8 of us comfortably. It was a very easy walk to the beach. Good location. The house offered plenty of amenities, beach towels, beach chairs… they offered bicycles:2 adult & 2 child’s. The adult bikes were in bad condition, the chains were all rusty and the women’s bike was almost too dangerous to ride as the front end was bent. Overall it’s a great house for the value!

We really enjoyed our stay. We did have trouble with the keypad, but after a quick response we got fresh batteries and it worked great. Loved the location. The master bed is super firm, but did sleep well. The shower was very small in the 2nd bedroom, but we managed. The view was amazing. Very relaxing and peaceful stay

The location of the house was perfect. Walking distance to everything. The pool was perfect to have! Few minor things that needed to be addressed were addressed quickly. Only thing I would recommend would be a spray nozzle on the hose for washing sand off. Great vacation was had by all!

We loved staying at Taylor House!! There were 9 of us and there was plenty of room for all. The multiple decks were great for enjoying morning coffee, evening sunsets, and late night games. The covered deck area was a bonus for our one rainy afternoon. We loved that the dining room table fit all of us comfortably. Having a grill made for yummy summertime dinners. So many fun family memories were made this week! The cleanliness of the property, having the beds made when we walked in, having beach bikes available, providing towels and beach towels, and the private path to the ocean made this truly a dream vacation in Wrightsville!! We had a great time staying at this home in Kure beach. Plenty of room for our large crew - 5 adults and 2 kids. Very clean and comfortable, great location. We spent all day in the pool or at the beach, easy walk to dinner or the lunch at the pier. Really enjoyed our time here!

This location was excellent! We loved sitting to drink our morning coffee on the balcony, overlooking the ocean. Everything was exactly as described. Plenty of room for the family! The only downsides include: very weak WiFi connection and both the front and patio door were very sticky/temperamental. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay!

This place hit all the marks for us. 4 grown children and they’re significant others. Plenty of privacy for everyone. Loved the pool and hot tub. Ocean view and access beautiful. Parking not so great if you have a 3rd vehicle, they hand out tickets like crazy, even though we parked our truck right in front of the garage doors and off the street! Only complaint, one oven was not working and the barbecue grill was dangerous and needs to be replaced. Liz was a great host and responded to all my requests quickly.

The house itself was clean and our stay overall was good. We had 12 people in our party. This house needs updates and attention to be great and the check-in process needs clarification.

I have been renting houses in Kure Beach for the past 10 years. Overall, we spent around $7.5k to rent this home Memorial day week. Below is my honest and fair review.

The Pros:
1. The house was clean.
2. The location is convenient to the pier and several restaurants are within walking distance.
3. The master bedroom has a great ocean view.
4. The master bathroom has been updated, and has a nice tiled shower with good water pressure.
5. The house is located in between 2 non rentals making the stay pretty quiet.
6. The house has a clean pool with a privacy fence.

The Cons:
1. The upstairs fridge ice maker worked half of the time. The water dispenser piddled out, and the water had a strange taste to it.
2. The oven will take about 45 minutes to boil a simple pot of water.
3. The guest bathrooms are outdated! The shower heads come out chest level You have to duck to get water on your head. The water pressure is not great. In addition, the toilet paper roll holder is barely hanging onto the wall and the toilet seat is too small for the toilet.
4. The downstairs shower vent had mold in it.
5. The hose to wash your feet from the beach was broken and the water spicket is too close to the house to get your feet under.
6. This house is located right next to the pier and several hotels and motels. The beach is crowded from the hotel / motels and public beach access on both sides of the house.
7. We had to replace the batteries in every single remote in the house. All of them were dead making the TV’s inoperable.
8. The house comes with an outdoor grill, but we needed to pay for tank exchange since the original tank was completely empty.
9. There is not a TV in every bedroom.
10. The walkway and seating area to the beach is in very rough condition. Several boards had come up and had nails sticking out.

My family and I stayed here with 5 adults and 2 kids (2 year old and 12 year old). The house was large enough for everyone to be comfortable.
Overall the stay was ok. A few things not working and the pool was essentially unusable (way too cold and was told until after booking that it could no longer be heated). The master bed could be replaced.
Would not stay again as the pool situation was extremely frustrating.

The house was just as advertised. Beautiful beach and house but best part was private pool. There were a few issues but Liz the manager quickly had them fixed. Only minor issue is there is no garage door opener or keypad so every time you leave with car you need to go to back of house to get in/out. Also the floors are separate apts so no inside stairs. Big plus, our dog was allowed- he just sat in the sun😀
